What is SEO?
SEO or Search Engine Optimization is the optimization of web site in order to increase the ranking of the web site in search engines like Google and Yahoo through natural or organic search when potential clients search for your company name or products”.

But why SEO? Why is it important?
Nowadays, there are millions of other online competitors and your web site appears nowhere in the Top 10 in Google, Yahoo or MSN – now who’s going to buy your products? By chance? Of course, other Marketing methods help too, but SEO is a tool that is already out there, all you need to do is arm it to your web site. Therefore, having a web site alone is not sufficient as over 90% of all companies already have web sites. But out of these, more than 50% are not optimized.

Will I be able to find my website in the search engines?
Yes. There are basically three ways to get your site listed in a search engine:
A) Submit your site directly to the search engine using a free submit form.
B) Let the search engine find your site through links to your site from other sites such as directories.
C) Pay the search engine to index your site.
The higher your web site is ranked for the products you are selling, the more chance people will click into it and the more chance people will buy your products.

Why can’t I find my web site in the search engines?
When your websites put online, it takes about 2weeks to 6 weeks for google to build an index of the links and your website before people can search it.
Then Google will start the placement of your URL inside of the search engine’s keyword ranking. Your websites ranking is determined by various different factors; content relevance (how well your website explains and details any given subject), link popularity (how many other different webpages are linking to yours), and overall website appearance (how well formatted your site actually looks).
Getting high rankings takes time, don’t expect quick results, there’s no getting around that fact. Once your site is added to a search engine or directory, its ranking may start out low and then slowly work its way up the ladder. Some search engines measure “click-through popularity,” i.e., the more people that click on a particular site, the higher its ranking will go. Be patient and give your site time to mature.
